ABC Fun Run

Greetings!
Edina Student Council is organizing a 5K/1mile Fun Run fundraiser for “A Better Chance.” ABC’s goal is to increase the number of well-educated minority students and make it possible for deserving students to reach their full potential. We would really love for all of the Nordic team to participate in this fundraiser.

Congratulations to Matthew Berntson who is now ranked eighth in the Skinnyski.com High School Rankings.
2010 Minnesota High School Nordic champion Jessie Diggins is now racing on the World Cup circuit. She shares her experiences in her blog. Here are a couple of excerpts:
-There were all sorts of noise-makers and air horns out along the course [in Italy], but my favorite was definitely the chainsaw (sans blade) that some dude was holding above the crowd. Very motivating.
-I finally got to meet Oystein “the Sausage” Pettersen, and he’s hilarious. Our conversation went something like this:
Me: “are you excited for the classic sprints in Estonia next weekend?”
Oystein: “Yes. Classic sprinting is all about skating as much as possible without getting caught.”
Me: ???? “But that’s cheating!”
Oystein: (shrugs) “It’s the Norwegian way”.
Alrighty then! Good to know
